BC487 Umbilia armeniaca diprotodon

A great rarity from old times, live collected in 1993 by scuba diver at about 30-40 meters depth off Thorny Passage, Port Lincoln area. Heavy shell no longer fished and some claim extinct, actually only from old collections. This species has beautiful dark pattern and it’s far from gem because 3 tiny sand inclusions and a natural little fold on anterior part of dorsum. Still a beauty missing in many collections.
