BC009 Cypraea tigris schilderiana + cypraea tigris – THE GIANT and THE DWARF

Huge specimen from old times of unbelievable size, collected by scuba in 1960’s off Oahu at near 10-15 meters depth + specimen taken by fishermen diving at 5 meters depth off Java. The shell from Hawaii, very impressive size and weight, has several little natural irregularities and imperfections, including an attempted drill hole on its posterior side, but has still great colors: nowadays it’s impossible to find a tigris up 140 mm, and there are very few of them in some very advanced collections. The dwarf one from Indonesia is fully adult and mature, despite the tiny size.
