BC119 Muricanthus strausi VERY RARE!

It is only the sixth known specimen, and the first one ever described with photographs (by Houart in 2023)!!! The others were in fact described by Varrell in the 1950s, based on drawings! This specimen comes from Prince Chigi’s collection — he collected it while diving in the Caribbean in the 1970s, along with several Conus dominicanus. Very good quality; it still contains the dried mollusk inside, complete with operculum.
